Reclaimed 20 gauge aluminum has been hand cut and manually hammered to make this dimensional wall piece. All edges were manually filed smooth and is ready to hang from a custom made aluminum backing.

Cranky Pansy is hand painted from start to finish and every one is a unique individual. Here I have used a blend of soft pink with subtle fluorescent pink shading, with pale yellowy peach around the edges. Pansy's lavender and blue cartoon eyes are surrounded by a deep violet, their frowny mouth a dark blue.

Clear coated in Matte

Thanks to the hammering this art is dished in such a way it draws you in even if you're observing from the side. Because of how the edges mimic an organic pansy shape, the curves cast interesting shadows. A proud pansy owner has reported that in the afternoon sun her pansy looks like it's floating off the wall.
