Lady Arakido is the latest addition to our LAVAGRL collection, a series of colorful, abstracted, pop art portraits of interesting women.

Reclaimed sheet aluminum has been hand cut and hand hammered into this one of a kind wall art piece. The painting curves from the wall with fascinating dimensionality, and her face is gently indented within the construct.

This original painting was created in a palette that is bold yet subtle, in soft colors that push against each other with quiet drama. Her face is a rich olive green with ocher shading and minty-teal highlights. A subtle dab of navy serves as the darkest accent, with a pale blue forming surreal reflections on her lip, nose, cheekbones and eyelid.

Her 'hair' is a tender mix of light dusty orange, cool pink, and beige with creamy highlights. All of the color fields are finely outlined in a similar shade that blends with the art while providing order to the composition.
