An original Cranky Pansy from the studios at Art Base Alpha, handmade from 20 gauge aluminum which has been hand cut and hammered to create a unique dimensional wall piece. All edges are manually filed smooth and art is ready to hang from a custom made aluminum backing.

Each cranky pansy is a unique individual hand painted from start to finish. Two shades of vivid green, one an acid lime the other a minty teal, blend together with yellow and deep cobalt blue in this maximalist painting. Their cartoon eyes are azure with bright yellow "pupils" and the mouth is a dramatically curved minty frown. The center of the flower shades to a deep black around the eyes and mouth.

❥ Please note these greens in particular are difficult to photograph and may appear different on your personal screen. The dark cobalt next to greens with touches of fluorescent paint is very vivid and bold.

Clear coated in Matte

Thanks to the hammering this art is dished in such a way it draws you in even if you're observing from the side. Because of how the edges mimic an organic pansy shape, the curves cast interesting shadows. A proud pansy owner has reported that in the afternoon sun her pansy looks like it's floating off the wall.
