🌇 Night is falling in haze of thick red and moody purple and young trees cast spindly shadows in the clearing. Your evening walk has taken a strange turn though you can't remember how, after all you visit the same footpath every evening in the small wooded area adjacent to the neighborhood park. A glimmer, a shift, a rustling of leaves. In front of you three cats, turned black by silhouette, blink slowly from shining eyes. They watch you, silent. 🌌
